Overview

Carolyn Williams launched Colorado Educational Consultants (CEC) to give students the individualized attention and focus they need to succeed. She has worked with students at the middle, high school and college levels for fifteen years.

Carolyn graduated from Dartmouth College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in history, before earning a Master of Education from Harvard University. She is a certified English and history teacher, and an experienced college counselor and admission counselor.

Carolyn has lived and taught all over the US, as well as internationally. Carolyn began her teaching career at Surin Teacher’s College in Thailand. She moved on to FA Day Middle School in Newton, Massachusetts. She has also taught at George School, a boarding school in Pennsylvania. Most recently she has taught and served as an English teacher, college counselor, and admission counselor at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School.

Carolyn hails from a family of educators who inspired her to enter the field. Her brother and sister in law teach at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH. Her grandparents have served as Dean of Students at MIT, Head of Lake Forest Academy, Head of Lake Forest Country Day School, Head of Edgewood School, Head of Day Prospect School, and Dean at Milton Academy.

Carolyn is the wife of Greg Williams, and mother of Sage and Luke. She is an avid skier, biker, trail runner, mountaineer, and equestrian. She hails from New Hampshire, and has spent the last eight years in Colorado.

Carolyn is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors, the Independent Educational Consultants Associaton, and the Higher Education Consultants Association.
